ElevenCourts is a tool for running pickleball open play. This page describes exactly what it stores, where, and how long for. It is written to be read, not to protect us.
The short version. If you never sign in, nothing you type leaves your device except the live session snapshot you explicitly start. If you do sign in, we keep your profile and your game history until you ask us to delete them. We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party trackers of any kind.
The roster, ratings, court assignments, scores and settings for your session live in your browser's localStorage. That data is not sent anywhere unless you turn on live sharing. Clearing your browser data deletes it permanently, and we cannot recover it.
Starting live sharing creates a session with a six-character code and publishes a snapshot so players can follow along. That snapshot contains:
Anyone who has the code can read this. The code is not guessable, but it is not a password either. Please do not type anything into a player name that you would not want a person with the link to see.
Live sessions are deleted automatically 24 hours after the last update. Signed-in organizers can also end a session immediately from the Session tab.
Signing in is optional. Organizers sign in so a session is not trapped on one device. Players sign in to set their own name and rating and to keep a record of their games. If you sign in with a magic link or with Google, we store:
If you use Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information from Google. We do not request access to your contacts, calendar, Drive, or anything else, and we could not read them if we wanted to.
Unlike a live session, which is deleted after 24 hours, your game history is kept until you delete your account. That is the point of it: it is the record you came back for.
Your history is visible only to you. Nobody else can look up your games, and there is no public profile. Other players in a game you played see your name in their own history, because it is a record of who they played with.
Organizers can add players who have no account, by typing a name. A guest has no login, no profile and no history. Their name appears in the session and in the game records of the people they played with, and nothing else about them is stored.
That is the entire list. We do not sell data, share it with advertisers, or hand it to anyone else.
Stop live sharing, or end a session, and the snapshot stops being readable. Every live session is deleted 24 hours after its last update regardless.
To delete your account, email the address below. Your profile, your email address and the link between you and your games are removed. The games themselves stay in the histories of the people you played with, with your name on them, because those are their records of their own games and we cannot honestly erase half of a shared match. If you want your name removed from those too, say so and we will do it.
ElevenCourts is not intended for children under 13, and accounts should not be created for them. A guest name typed by an organizer is not an account and carries no login or history.
